Tjo’s Collaborative Experience With ‘ROugE’
When Tjo unveiled ‘BLeU’ last year, it was a statement from the anonymous artist: an invitation to explore their world through the lens of a singular hue. It was met with a massive response by the artist community, as hundreds participated in an unconventional creative exploration of their own ideas.
Well, Tjo has done it again. This time, artists have been offered another glimpse at the world through a new hue called ‘ROugE’ (pictured below).
‘ROugE’ by Tjo
By remixing the work, artists can contribute to this “energy network” freely and without any creative or commercial limitations. ‘ROugE’ is covered by a Creative Commons license, ensuring that artists can create and publish their own iterations without any legal encumbrances. Tjo also made generous provisions for NFT minting permissions to allow any creator to sell their remixes of the original artwork on the blockchain.
We tapped into the creative energy flowing around and made a thread to discuss our favorite takes on the ‘ROugE’ experience. Check it out below:
Time to shine a spotlight on our favorite remixes of @0xTjo's 'ROugE.'
The best part of making this?
Getting to connect with the artists and stories behind these pieces.

DeeKay’s Debut Solo Exhibition in Seoul
The journey from quitting a career in motion design to a solo exhibition during the same week as Asia’s biggest Web3 events was far from a straight path for DeeKay. But boy, are we glad to see the fruits of hard work, dedication, grit, and unwavering self-belief being reaped.
DeeKay’s sleek animated videos have carved a niche for the artist in the world of on-chain art within a few short years. His penchant for creative storytelling and knack for character design have won the admiration and praise of artists and collectors alike. Now, with his debut solo art show in Seoul this month, DeeKay is poised to steal the hearts of many more fans by immersing them in his wonderful world.
Welcome to my first solo exhibition!
Please come and say hi! 🥰🥰📍Location: (HiKR Ground) 40 Cheonggyecheon-ro. Jung-gu. Seoul (40 청계천로 정구 서울)
📍Time: 10am~7pm (no mondays)
📍Date: 8/29~9/30— DeeKay (@deekaymotion)

Returning to his beloved home city of Seoul to make a debut was a sort of “full circle” moment, which Deekay shared in a series of heartfelt comments on the show. The artist’s works will be on display until September 30th, 2023. If you’re in the area, it’s definitely an experience you don’t want to miss!
Soiree Henzo Takes Over NYC
This was easily the highlight of our week. Soiree Henzo started as a recurring apartment get-together for the NYC underground art scene that soon ballooned to packing out Chelsea galleries this summer.
With Soiree Henzo, we’re celebrating a cultural movement that’s flipping the switch on conventional norms whereby artists are charged to have their work displayed at high-end galleries. In essence, the concept of the show was to exhibit works by 100 artists and pay each one of them to display their work.
If you’re wondering about the infectious smiles all around, you’ve got Matteo Purple to thank for it. His body of on-chain artwork, Purple Blood, was the only digital art on display at Soiree Henzo. We’re more than excited to see Web3 art assimilated into traditional art spaces, further narrowing the gap between both ends of the metaphorical spectrum. Needless to say, it was a moment to be super proud of!
Top Sales of the Week 🔥
This week’s top sale on Foundation was a 2.5 ETH purchase by an anonymous buyer who collected this piece titled ‘We Are’ by Terence Ntsako Maluleke. It’s an interesting composition delivered in warm, bright tones.
On SuperRare, the top sale of the week was for 12 ETH. This stunning piece by DrifterShoots titled ‘Become The Storm’ was collected by nerfpidgey.
