‘The Goose’ Finds a New Home
A little over two years ago, Dmitri Cherniak brought the ‘Ringers’ collection to life on the blockchain. Since then, generative art has forged a path to the mainstream, finding its way to notable collections, auction houses, and even museums.
One of the most iconic pieces from the ‘Ringers’ collection is ‘Ringers #879’ (a.k.a. ‘The Goose’). Back in June, it was acquired by Punk 6529 on behalf of a bespoke NFT fund (SZN5) during the Sotheby’s Grails: Part II Auction.

Grossing $6.2 million, including the buyer’s premium, ‘The Goose’ continues on its trailblazing journey in the art world, paving the way for more widespread acknowledgement of the emergent art form.
It took a few months to complete the actual asset transfer due to the necessary accounting and legal requirements. But ‘The Goose’ has finally landed in its new home, and boy, is it exciting!
‘Cyles Sing’ by Molly McCutcheon
One of the highlights of our week is the customary X (formerly Twitter) Spaces that we host alongside folks doing awesome stuff in the crypto art scene.
This week, we had an incredible conversation with Molly McCutcheon and the Deca team to celebrate the auction of her latest 1/1 offering, titled ‘Cycles Sing.’
“What makes it so special?” you ask.
Well, first of all, behold and feast your eyes 🤩
‘Cycles Sing’ by Molly McCutcheon
Back to the topic: It is Molly’s only 1/1 minted artwork created with oil pastel and charcoal. Furthermore, ‘Cycles Sing’ is one of the first 1/1 artworks minted on a Deca sovereign contract.
But it gets even more interesting. Molly’s piece serves as a reference 1/1 artwork for artists to create an homage—a Deca poster imagined in their own unique styles. We saw up to 14 different iterations from super talented artists in their own right, making a momentous milestone for everyone involved.

Gordon Goner Gone Bonkers Over GenArt
The co-founder of Yuga Labs hit the blockchain for a million-dollar shopping spree last week. While the NFT community celebrated the return of WAGMI vibes, we couldn’t help but notice a few of the items in Wylie Aronow's (a.k.a. Gordon Goner's) cart.
Yup, that’s right. You’re looking at a ‘Fidenza’ by Tyler Hobbs. ‘Fidenza #534’ to be precise, which Aronow acquired for 79 ETH ($165K) on November 9th.
Only two hours earlier, he’d posted about his long-time love for generative art of the Squiggles variety. We’re inclined to take his word for it, seeing as he’d just splashed 36 ETH ($75K) on this Chromie Squiggle by SNOWFRO.
Long time fan, first time caller. ❤️

With the acquisition of ‘Chromie Squiggle #622,’ Aronow sends a message that resonates clearly across the entire Web3 space—generative art will be a dominant force in the next NFT bull market. We wonder who’s gonna go shopping next 🤔
Exclusive Interview With P1A
This week’s interview is with none other than the surrealism wunderkind, P1A.
Like many in the on-chain art space, we’re fans of her work, and so it was swell to chop it up about her artistry and journey in Web3. Let’s dive in!
Eminent: Thank you for joining us this week. Let’s start with a bit of a throwback. How did you first come across on-chain art?
P1A: My first time hearing about NFT’s happened when I was working for a film production in 2021. A colleague who was aware of my digital artworks came up to me to talk about how I could use the on-chain technology.
This helped me discover the potential of blockchain technology, especially through the lens of NFTs. The more I searched, the more I figured out new possibilities for creating, selling, and appreciating digital art in a secure and transparent way, with many things to follow.
Eminent: In your experience, would you say that curating and creating art on the blockchain has provided additional touchpoints for art appreciation?
P1A: Curating and creating art on the blockchain has provided incredible touchpoints for art appreciation, for sure. The transparency and authenticity offered by the blockchain not only add value to artworks but also create a direct connection with the audience.
The decentralized nature of blockchain technology aligns with the democratization of art, allowing artists to reach a global audience and build a community around their work—this fact itself is a revolutionary touchpoint, I must say!
Eminent: There’s a lot of intimate energy in your art—it’s emotive, and each piece feels like you’re telling a story. Is this something that you consciously set out to achieve during the creative process?
P1A: The emotive and storytelling aspects of my art are indeed intentional. Each piece is a narrative, a visual story of a birth, crafted to evoke emotions and connect with the audience on a deeper level of consciousness; a language of colors and symbols that represents the messages and feelings I wish to give and evoke for the experience.
Incorporating blockchain technology into this storytelling adds layers of meaning and tools for storytelling while emphasizing the uniqueness and authenticity of each piece in the digital realm.
Eminent: What’s the most important factor to consider for an artist looking to boost discovery for their work?
P1A: The most crucial factor for artists looking to boost discovery is active engagement with the community. Leveraging social media, participating in NFT marketplaces and drops, and collaborating with fellow artists contribute to a broader visibility. Additionally, maintaining a consistent and authentic artistic voice helps in building a recognizable brand and personality that resonates with possible collectors.
Eminent: A single work of on-chain artwork of your choice gets to sit in the Louvre for life. What’s your top pick?
P1A: Choosing a single on-chain artwork to sit in the Louvre for life is a challenging task! It would likely be a piece that not only showcases artistic excellence but also holds cultural and historical significance in the evolution of blockchain art.
Perhaps a landmark piece from Beeple's ‘Everydays’ from his Christie’s auction, a work that symbolizes a breakthrough moment in the integration of blockchain technology, or XCOPY’s ‘All Time High in the City’ or ‘Right-click and Save As Guy.’ I do believe these drops made a huge echo both in the web3 and real-world spaces with the stories they both hold, artistically.
