‘923 Empty Rooms’ is an algorithmic edition of 924 pieces inspired by ‘An Empty Room’, commissioned by the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) for the Coded: Art Enters the Computer Age, 1952-1982 exhibition. The artwork contemplates simulation and the history of visual representation and abstraction
Each room (containing a simulated still life form) can be explored by viewers. Six primary forms are each linked to a city: Sun (Tokyo), Shard (Berlin), Cargo (London), Hive (New York), Pyramid (CDMX), and Moon (Los Angeles). A series of rooms were minted over the course of a simultaneous, six-day exhibition at galleries in each city.
It was a masterclass in performance art that we were thrilled to experience along with the 200+ folks who showed up to the event.
Gen Art, Wine, and Love by Station3
Earlier that night, we enjoyed the Gen Art, Wine, and Love experience. It’s a monthly generative art event hosted by Station3, the web3 hub at the heart of NYC’s financial district.
We’d attended their MAINnet panel just the day before, and let’s just say it was love at first vibe. But the highlight of our night was seeing all the beautiful faces that turned up to support the generative art community. And yes, of course, we can’t forget the dumplings! 😋
Evening was set in motion by @Station3NYC with their GenArt, Wine, and Love event 🎨🍷❤️
Stopped there yesterday for the first time - we love this place. It’s a must if you’re in Web3 and in the city. And apply for their grants while you can 👀

Station3 is a collaborative workspace supporting Web3 builders/artists. They offer grants to creators through their patron program. 100% of the capital raised from sales of Station3 Patron NFTs goes directly to Web3 teams, individuals, and artists. This decentralized support system is powering waves of innovation in art and technology, which we find truly exciting!
Exclusive Interview With TylersJourney
We got a chance to catch up with TylersJourney. Coming on the heels of our amazing X space on August 18, 2023, this interview was a rare opportunity to articulate the journey of one of the most talented photographers in Web3.
Hello! We’re excited to have this conversation with you. Can you tell us a little bit about how ‘Tylersjourney’ was birthed?
27 years ago, when I was 10 years old, my father gave me my first camera, a Canon AE-1. This changed how I looked at the world around me forever. I treated it as a way to help me preserve my memories, and I’ve been trying to document the world around me to help inspire others ever since. My Father passed away when I was 25 years old, suddenly from an unexpected heart attack. I then realized how short life was, and I no longer wanted to waste my time working meaningless jobs in my small town. So three days later, I packed all my things, got on a plane, and moved to Toronto to finally pursue my dreams of being a professional photographer full time.
Your works are a distinct blend of eye-popping color treatment and tasteful composition. Looking back on the early days of your photography journey, how did you arrive at this style?
My love for night photography developed while I spent many nights walking the city in the rain. I noticed how atmospheric everything was and how the rain allowed all the surrounding lights to reflect off of it. It felt like I was in a movie. Ever since that moment, I told myself every time it rained, no matter what I was doing, I would drop it and be out there with my camera to tell the cities’ story.
Web3 eliminates middlemen, which is great for creators, but it often feels as if there is a missing link due to a disconnect between artists who struggle to be discovered by collectors. How have you navigated this unique challenge?
The one thing I do really love about this is it has allowed me to develop a deep personal relationships with collectors who I am now good friends with from all over the world. Never before have we had the chance to break the barrier between artist and collector. I basically navigate it by treating people how I’d want to be treated: with respect, interest, and as friends. Now wherever I may travel, I’ll now have a friend.
